    They are a community agency that provides free services for seniors 60 and over. This week on Observations, host Bob Fisher welcomes Dana Serrata, Executive Director of Helping Hands of Vegas Valley and Anne Marie Rehm, the organizations Development Specialist. They both discussed the goal of Helping Hands and what they need to assist these seniors on a daily and weekly basis. Helping Hands of Vegas Valley has mostly volunteers and the task to care for the thousands of seniors who need assistance is time consuming and a passion to let no senior citizen be without food, transportation and companionship.

    It was reported that Nevada is the second most dangerous state to live in. Tennessee ranks as number one. Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie spoke with Observations host Bob Fisher about the increasing crime rate, not only in Nevada but throughout the United States. He sighted easy access to guns, drugs, alcohol and an increase in criminal activity on the roads. He had requested more funds for the Metro Police department and is waiting for the approval from the County Commission. He also discussed the various problems plaguing the schools in the state due to continued bullying which is also trying to be addressed by law enforcement and children taking weapons to school and teachers and instructors having to deal with this ever growing problem.
