The CEA Antenna Selector Site

CEA recognizing that selection of the proper TV antenna for good reception is a complicated matter, initiated its Antenna Mapping Project, designed to assist dealers and consumers by providing market-specific information on outdoor antenna requirements. Using the WEB site, a consumer should be able to determine the right antenna in two to five minutes, according to CES. Good TV reception is not solely determined by a TV receiver's distance from the transmitting television station. Other conditions factor in, including structures that may reflect the TV signal, causing ghosting in analog sets and no video (black) in digital sets. Sometimes choosing the right antenna and pointing it in the correct direction can eliminate some of these distortions. More information is online on the CEA website. www.antennaweb.org
